Want to learn more information about volunteering at Keene Pride Events? Join us for an informational meeting happening on Thursday, June 12th at 7pm at Madame Sherri's Restaurant in Downtown Keene! At this meeting, you will have the opportunity to meet board members of Keene Pride, and our Volunteer Coordinator, Jen Blake. We will be discussing upcoming events for Keene Pride and how you might be able to help!

We will also be discussing the logistics of Keene Pride Festival 2025 happening on Sunday, September 21! The festival will be different this year, so even if you have volunteered in the past you will want to come and hear about it!

NOVA ONE makes lush, dreamy music that celebrates and centers vulnerability, self-love, self-expression, and queer futurity. This Providence-based band performs songs from their newest LP, create myself (Community Records), celebrating self-acceptance, becoming, and inviting each of us to find our own voices and see ourselves with compassion and love.

Laina Barakat, an Independent Film Producer, singer-songwriter, and Monadnock Music’s Executive Director, started GirlandPiano, a band featured in Paste Magazine’s NH Bands to watch. She later co-founded “The Starving Artist” in Keene and worked as a Songwriter in Residence at the Glen Workshops.

Barakat’s compositions have been covered by internationally touring bands and produced by renowned artists like Vinx and Paul Venezia. She’s received Ewing Arts and Trendsetter Awards and served as a former Board Member of Keene Pride. As an adjunct Film Professor at Keene State College, she continues collaborating with artists and plans to release a new EP in 2025.

Lockhart “Locky” Brownlie is an Australian performer and creative visionary, serving as the creative director, choreographer, and producer of BROLESQUE. An accomplished dancer and actor, Locky boasts an impressive background in stage, theater, and television.

He has collaborated with major stars including Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, JLO, Britney Spears, Kesha, and Erika Jayne, and made his Broadway debut in the smash hit WICKED. His TV credits include appearances on GLEE, TRUE BLOOD, Hit The Floor, AJ & The Queen, RuPaul's Drag Race, Minx on HBO, and the Magic Mike Live Promo for Britain's Got Talent.

Dr. Taronté Venable is a board certified-chiropractic neurologist practicing in Bellows Falls, VT but prior to this career he spent his life singing in various choirs, including the Stonewall Chorale in NYC. Since moving upstate he’s attended various open mics and sang back up for local talent Shannon Roy in several concerts, helping to debut her first original album. Since discovering his passion for singing at a young age, Taronté has dreamed of performing as a solo artist. Dr. Venable’s 20 Fun Facts Cabaret is the first of a potential series of Fun Facts shows written by Taronté. In this rendition, Taronté shares his love of music and various pivotable moments in his life growing up as a queer African American.  

This show is packed with acoustic pop hits, ballads, a few band numbers and one of Taronté’s original songs. Come expand your perspective and be moved by his wide vocal range across various styles of music as he shares his life’s journey for the first time on stage.
